Taught and coached 3 years at New Providence, Iowa, moving to Mt. Pleasant in 1966 where I coached and taught for 37 years, retiring in 2003. I continue to be very active in Track and Field and XC statewide. Activities include being one of 3 referees for high school division of Drake Relays and official for Coed High School State Meet. I was inducted into the High School Track Coaches Hall of Fame and have been honorary coach for both the All Star Boys Track Meet and Cross Country Meet. I spend a lot of my free time hunting and fishing in southeastern Iowa and also have an extensive Indian Artifact collection with pieces found by me and my family in southeast Iowa. In the spring of 2013 I came out retirement to be an assistant coach at 1A school WACO(Wayland, IA) where my oldest 2 granddaughters attend school and run track.
