Sherrill Lyn Hamilton Belardes, 57, of Bakersfield, California, formerly of Marshalltown died Sunday, December 20, 1998.

Services were held Monday, December 28, at the First Baptist Church Sanctuary in Bakersfield.  Memorial services will be held in Marshalltown at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church for youth education.

She was born on July 9, 1941, in Marshalltown to Chester Henry and Vivian Virginia (Hilderbrand) Hamilton.  She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1959.  She worked at K-Mart Corporation and later as a medical clerk.

Survivors include her mother Vivian of Campbell, California; a daughter, Cathleen (Mrs. Randy) Warren; two sons, Thomas (Suzanne) Belardes and Nicholas Belardes; two brothers, William Henry Hamilton of Marshalltown and Roger Lee Hamilton of Sunny Vale, California, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.
