Leni H. Manning Proctor

I love living in the Las Vegas area. I have been here since 1981 when I left teaching in Marshalltown. I started here as a school teacher and then ended my educational career as the principal of a school for students with significant mental retardation. I spent two years after retirement as a special education consultant for the school district. I am now enjoying retirement. I keep busy volunteering with the Assistance League. I am on the board of directors of a shelter for victims of domestic abuse. I also schedule appointments for my son's business. The best part of retirement though, is watching my three grandsons here grow up. I have been part of their lives on almost a daily basis. They are now in high school and middle school, so I have seen my share of baseball and football games and now lacrosse matches. I wouldn't change a minute of it except to wish that my grandchildren in New York were here. We do have our family reunions in the summer. Life has been very good to me!!!

I just remember all the friends from MHS. We had some great times. Probably the stories I remember most should not be published!!!
